Being a psychology student I participated in a 6 day workshop on ‘Mindfulness Based Skills Training’ organized by Department of Psychology , under the guidance of Mrs. Shveta Shourie, Mindfulness Coach, USA, held at DAV College, Chandigarh, India in the year 2016. It gives me immense pleasure to write many positives aspects of the workshop which helped me develop a sense of positive outlook towards self and the environment around. It was a fulfilling and an amazing experience to learn and gain about something new. Mental health is an important criteria for a peaceful life and being mindful is essential, which is certainly, a requirement in today’s time. Ma’am enlightened me to see through the inner self and balance out my worries and relieve them through breathing and her innovative and applicable techniques. I want to pay my generous regards to ma’am for teaching this workshop and her commitment towards helping me being mindful.
